NXP launched a new generation of high-performance single-chip AM / FM car radio tuner based on RFCMOS
The new TEF665x and TEF668x car radio tuner series combine excellent tuner performance with easy integration features while significantly reducing material costs
Shanghai, China, September 18, 2013- NXP Semiconductors NV (NASDAQ: NXPI) recently announced the launch of TEF665x and TEF668x, which is a success of its RFCMOS-based single-chip AM / FM car radio tuner A new generation of products launched afterwards.
The TEF665x and TEF668x series tuners combine the latest RFCMOS technology, a rich feature set, the best software algorithms, and simplified integration to bring the industry's best car radio solutions. These tuners can be paired with NXP ’s SAF356x and SAF360x coprocessors, supporting HD Radio or DRM digital broadcasting standards, giving OEMs greater flexibility. Compared with the previous generation products, the new tuner significantly reduces the circuit board footprint (reduced by 80%) and power consumption (reduced by 50%), brings excellent performance at a lower system cost, and is very suitable for emerging countries such as the BRIC countries High-growth market.
