Wi-Fi Alliance Marketing Director Kelly Davis-Felner said that the WiGig certification program-WiGig CERTIFIED will be officially launched in 2014 to ensure the interoperability between devices and provide users with security protection that meets industry standards. In the future, wireless communication chips for mobile devices will integrate both Wi-Fi and WiGig technologies, and can automatically switch the 60GHz / 5GHz or 2.4GHz spectrum according to environmental changes.

However, the Wi-Fi Alliance has seen that the industry is working hard to develop related technologies, and is confident that the certification plan will be able to follow more than three companies next year. After the chip vendors launched WiGig chips, they began to test the interconnectivity of each other's products, spawned more terminal products, and boosted WiGig's visibility in the industry.
