International Rectifier (IR) has launched the DirectFETplus family of power MOSFETs, leveraging its next-generation silicon technology to deliver optimal efficiency for 12V input synchronous buck applications. These include next-generation servers, desktops, and notebooks, where power efficiency is critical.
The first two devices in the DirectFETplus lineup are the IRF6811 and IRF6894. Compared to their predecessors, these MOSFETs feature reduced on-resistance (RDS(on)) and gate charge (Qg), leading to a 2% improvement in overall efficiency. Additionally, they offer ultra-low gate resistance (Rg), which helps minimize switching losses in DC-DC converters, further enhancing performance.
Pan Dawei, Vice President of Sales for IR Asia Pacific, stated, "The new IRF6811 and IRF6894 chipsets utilize IR's DirectFET packaging technology along with next-generation silicon to optimize key MOSFET parameters. This ensures superior performance and reliability for the evolving demands of next-generation computing, while also offering an ideal solution for compact designs."
The IRF6811 is a control MOSFET, while the IRF6894 is a synchronous MOSFET, available in small and medium packages respectively. The 25V DirectFETplus component combines industry-leading on-resistance and gate charge with low charge, helping to reduce both conduction and switching losses. The IRF6894 also includes an integrated monolithic Schottky diode, which minimizes losses from body diode conduction and reverse recovery. Notably, the new DirectFETplus MOSFETs maintain compatibility with the footprint of previous generation devices, making them easy to integrate into existing designs.
With their advanced features and improved efficiency, the DirectFETplus family is set to become a go-to solution for power management in high-performance computing systems. Whether you're designing for servers, PCs, or portable electronics, these MOSFETs offer a compelling combination of performance, reliability, and space-saving design.
Gantry Structures
In industrial Settings, gantry structures are often used to support overhead cranes, conveyors, and other equipment. These structures are typically made of steel and are designed to withstand heavy loads and harsh environmental conditions. Gantry structures can be fixed or mobile, and mobile gantry structures are often used for applications that require moving equipment to different locations within a facility.
