Recently, the 2017 Baidu World Congress took place in Beijing, drawing thousands of developers and partners. Starting this October, Baidu launched the first stop of the Baidu AI Developer Camp in Shenzhen, introducing the “Liaoyuan†AI Developer Support Program. On November 30th, the Baidu AI Developer Camp will return to Guangdong, hosting a major AI-themed exchange event in Guangzhou to welcome the enthusiasm of South China’s AI developers. What exciting new developments will be unveiled this time around?
The Guangzhou station promises to offer an "AI feast" for all participants.
Currently, Baidu boasts the most comprehensive and advanced AI open platform in China, offering more than 80 AI technologies covering areas like voice recognition, facial recognition, natural language understanding, knowledge graphs, and data intelligence. These cover nearly all known AI fields. In addition to that, the "Face Face Sign-in" feature from the previous four stations will also be introduced to Guangzhou developers. Baidu's voice technology and the UNIT platform for language understanding and interaction are key highlights at this event. A new addition this time is the PaddlePaddle workshop, designed to help developers quickly integrate AI capabilities into their products. Like earlier events, there will be a technical exhibition area where developers can experience Baidu's AI technologies and try out simple cases with guidance from senior Baidu AI engineers.
The "Face Face Sign-in" feature will also be introduced to Guangzhou developers. Based on Baidu's facial recognition meeting sign-in solution, it offers a complete and user-friendly system for conference management, and is now available for free to developers. Senior Baidu AI engineers will also provide insights into how this technology works across different industries.
Baidu's voice technology and the UNIT platform for language understanding and interaction are built upon Baidu's extensive natural language processing and big data resources. They provide various technical capabilities to third-party developers through APIs. This event will focus on the principles of speech recognition and its real-world applications, showcasing the core technologies behind UNIT, such as dialogue control, machine learning, natural language processing, and knowledge mining. These tools will help developers quickly implement conversational and interactive features in their products.
Since the launch of PaddlePaddle, Baidu's open-source deep learning framework, it has gained widespread popularity among developers. It supports multiple deep learning models, including DNN, CNN, RNN, and complex memory models like NTM. Built on Spark, it supports both Python and C++ languages and enables distributed computing. At the event, senior Baidu AI engineers will guide developers through hands-on sessions, explaining how to use PaddlePaddle in practical scenarios.
