Sky TV launches new product SkyQ to watch programs on multiple devices

According to Bloomberg News, European satellite TV broadcasting company Sky, supported by Rupert Murdoch, launched SkyQ on November 18th local time, which allows users to watch programs on multiple devices.

SkyQ includes set-top boxes, wireless network connectivity hubs, and tablet applications that users can watch anywhere they want. Sky Chief Executive Jeremy Darroch also said that SkyQ will become a new way for users to watch TV. Earlier next year, the device will first be launched in the UK and Ireland, followed by Germany and Italy.

In addition, Sky TV has spent 10 billion U.S. dollars to merge the sky services of the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy, but the specific price of this device has not yet been disclosed. Cable and satellite TV companies, including Sky, are developing new technologies. It is reported that Sky’s launch of new devices is also aimed at boycotting Netflix.
