Aluminum shell general specification for aluminum electrolytic capacitors

1 Scope This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, transportation and storage of aluminum shells for aluminum electrolytic capacitors (hereinafter referred to as aluminum shells).

This standard applies to aluminum shell used in aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

2 Citation Criteria The clauses contained in the following standards are incorporated into this standard and constitute the provisions of this standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards will be revised, and the parties using this standard shall explore the possibility of using the latest version of the following standards.

GB 6987.3-86 Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Determination of copper content by atomic absorption spectrophotometric method GB 6987.4-86 Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Determination of iron content by phenanthroline photometric method GB 6987.6-86 Methods Molybdenum Blue Photometric Method for the Determination of Silicon Content GB 8544-87 Aluminum Alloy Strip 3 Classification Aluminum shells are divided into Type A, Type B and Type C Non-neck type aluminum shells (marked with pressure release device F)

B. Type has a neck type aluminum shell (mark F with pressure release device)

Type C is other structural aluminum shells.

Marking example A-type aluminum housing with outer diameter of 12 mm and height 26 mm with pressure release device is marked as follows:

A12x26F SJ/T one.

4 Requirements 4.1 Structural Dimensions The aluminum shell's structural dimensions and limit deviations shall comply with the requirements in the detailed specification.

The structure and shape of the aluminum shell pressure release device can be designed or manufactured by the manufacturer itself or according to the user's requirements, but its external dimensions (diameter) and the position of the reference axis should meet the requirements in the detailed specification.

4.2 Appearance 4:2.1 The inside and outside surfaces of the aluminum shell should be clean and smooth, with no residual oil, obvious water marks and blackening.

4.2.2 The inside and outside surfaces of the aluminum shell should not have obvious depressions, indentations, drawing, wrinkles, blisters, and streaks. The aluminum shell outer wall allows the following defects that do not affect the strength and appearance:

a. The outer wall surface is allowed to have a depth of no more than 0.03 mm and a width of no more than 0.1mm, but no more than two:

b. Aluminum shells with an outside diameter of more than 42 sails shall have scars on the outer wall not exceeding 1.5 mm2 in area and not more than 0.03 mm in depth, but no more than 3 shall be allowed.

4.2.3 The cut of the aluminum shell should be smooth without obvious burrs. The verticality of the incision and the reference axis should meet the requirements in the detailed specification.

4.2.4 The flatness of the aluminum shell outsole plane shall comply with the requirements in the detailed specification.

4.3 Materials 4.3.1 Aluminium shell materials using aluminum or other hand or greater than 99.5% of industrial pure aluminum strip or plate;

4.3.2 The chemical composition of the material shall comply with the provisions of GB 3190:

4.3.3 The mechanical properties of the material (tensile strength, elongation) shall comply with the provisions of GB 3880 or GB 8544.

4.4 Chloride (Cl-) content The chloride ion (Cl-) content of the aluminum shell should not exceed 0.02 mg/200 cm2.

4.5 When the resistivity temperature is 30±5°C, the resistivity of the aluminum shell should be greater than or equal to 4xl05Ω.cm.

4.6 Pressure release device performance 4.6.1 Release pressure of the aluminum shell pressure release device shall meet the requirements of the detailed specification.

4.6.2 The minimum limit of the thickness of the bottom of the pressure relief device shall comply with the requirements in the detailed specification.
