ADI Announces Three New Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) Devices

Analog Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) has recently introduced three new phase-locked loop (PLL) devices — the ADF5355, ADF4355-2, and ADF4155 — marking a significant advancement in frequency synthesis technology. These devices offer one of the widest frequency coverage ranges and the lowest voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) phase noise, all integrated into a single chip. The ADF5355 PLL covers an impressive 55 MHz to 14 GHz spectrum, while the ADF4355-2 extends up to 4.4 GHz. These high-performance solutions are ideal for RF and microwave communication system designers who need a single, wideband frequency synthesizer. Both PLLs feature an ultra-low phase noise VCO with -133 dBc/Hz at a 1 MHz offset from 6 GHz, outperforming competing products by at least 2 dB. This level of performance is crucial for applications requiring high signal integrity, such as cellular base stations, radar systems, and test equipment. In addition, Analog Devices has launched the ADF4155, an 8 GHz independent fractional-N PLL, offering more flexibility for designers working on ultra-wideband applications. The latest version of ADIsimPLL™ design tool, now at version 3.6, supports all these new PLLs. It’s a free downloadable software that helps engineers optimize their designs and fully leverage ADI’s leading PLL solutions. The new PLLs and the ADIsimPLL tool will be showcased at Analog Devices' booth #415 this week. You can find the data sheets for the following devices: - [ADF5355 Data Sheet](http://datasheet.eepw.com.cn/datasheet/show/id/3121169) - [ADF4355-2 Data Sheet](http://datasheet.eepw.com.cn/datasheet/show/id/3121170) - [ADF4155 Data Sheet](http://datasheet.eepw.com.cn/datasheet/show/id/3121171) The ADF5355 and ADF4355-2 incorporate a new VCO topology and utilize ADI's advanced SiGe process, resulting in exceptional VCO phase noise performance. This makes them particularly well-suited for ultra-wideband RF and microwave communication systems where low phase noise improves system reliability, increases data throughput, and enhances noise immunity. These cost-effective, ultra-wideband PLL synthesizers support up to 125 MHz phase comparator frequency and 38-bit resolution, significantly reducing jitter and enabling extremely fine frequency steps compared to traditional GaAs-based solutions. Integrated PLL and VCO functionality in an advanced BiCMOS process reduces both package size and power consumption. Moreover, the ability to configure a single PLL across a wide frequency range from 55 MHz to 14 GHz allows for faster system reconfiguration and reduced inventory needs. Key features include: - **ADF5355**: 55 MHz to 14 GHz Frequency Synthesizer with Integrated Ultra Low Noise VCO - Phase noise: -133 dBc/Hz (1 MHz offset at 6 GHz) - Phase noise quality factor: -224 dBc/Hz - **ADF4355-2**: 55 MHz to 4.4 GHz Frequency Synthesizer with Integrated Ultra Low Noise VCO - Phase noise: -144 dBc/Hz (1 MHz offset at 1.5 GHz) - **ADF4155**: 8 GHz Independent Fractional-N PLL - 125 MHz phase detector ADIsimPLL™ v3.6 includes improved jitter calculation, enhanced functionality, and a more intuitive user interface. These PLLs work seamlessly with other ADI RF components like the ADL5801 active mixer, ADL5375 wideband quadrature modulator, ADL5380 wideband I/Q demodulator, and the AD9361 RF Agile Transceiver. They serve as local oscillator sources for the agile transceiver and clock sources for the AD9625 12-bit, 2 GSPS ADC.

PZT Piezoelectric Elements

Piezoelectric ceramic are a ferroelectric compound. This means, that the electro-mechanical conversion process for producing a motion is related a kind of self-enhancement process based on an internal reorganization of the material's structure. This self-enhancement process results in the higher piezoelectrical efficiency of PZT when compared to natural materials like quartz.

Piezoelectric ceramic are generally manufactured from PZT (Pb - lead, Zr - zirconium, Ti - titanium). The PZT- formulation can be varied with a variety of dopants allowing for a broad spectrum of material properties optimized for different application profiles.

Yuhai Company is able to manufacture piezoelectric ceramic elements in a wide range of shapes and sizes. piezoelectric discs, piezo rings, piezo plates, and piezo tubes (cylinders) is the main shapes Yuhai Company most frequently manufactures, we also have a great deal of experience manufacturing hemispheres, trapezoids and other customized shapes.

If the listed shapes and sizes was not the elements you are looking for, please contact us for more information. We can work with you to create the correct shape and size for you.
