The 6RA70 is a fully digital rectifier with three-phase input, capable of handling armature currents ranging from 15A to 2200A. It can be connected in parallel to provide up to 12,000A of current, while the excitation circuit can supply up to 85A (depending on the rated armature current).
Here are some key parameter settings for the 6RA70:
- **P051 = 21**: Restore factory settings (use this if you're unsure which parameters have been changed).
- **P051 = 40**: Enable parameter modification.
- **P052 = 3**: Display all parameters.
- **P100 = Rated Armature Current** (set based on the motor nameplate during commissioning).
- **P101 = Rated Armature Voltage** (also set using the motor nameplate).
- **P102 = Rated Excitation Current** (again, based on the motor nameplate).
- **P104, P105, P106, P107, P108, P109, P114**: Use default values unless otherwise specified.
- **P082 = 1**: The excitation circuit is controlled by the main contactor.
- **P083 = 3**: Speed feedback is provided via EMF; option 1 uses XT104/XT103, and option 2 uses an encoder.
If you choose **P083 = 2**, make sure to set the following:

If you use **P083 = 1**, then set:
- **P741 = Tachometer voltage**. For example, if the tachometer has 110V at 2000 RPM, but the motor runs at 1500 RPM, set P741 to 83V.

- Set **P051 = 25** to initiate pre-control and current loop optimization.
- Start the governor, and the 6RA70 will automatically optimize the current loop and excitation parameters.
