The LTC6909 is an easy-to-use precision oscillator that provides 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 phase sync outputs. The LTC6909 also provides Spread Spectrum Modulation (SSFM) to enable this circuit to improve electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance.

Typical Application

LTC6909 Typical Application Circuit

Eight separate outputs provide up to eight rail-to-rail, 50% duty cycle clock signals. The output is configured with 3 logic inputs for phase separation from 45° to 120° (3 to 8 phases). It is also possible to keep the clock output low or configure it to be high impedance. A single resistor is combined with the phase configuration to set the output frequency according to the following formula:

fOUT=20MHz•10k/(RSET•PH)

Wherein PH = 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8.
