However, the aesthetic and affordable LED lighting is in a difficult position in the general consumer market.

In the past few days, I have visited the Nanchang lighting market and found that most consumers do not know what LEDs are. Most household bulbs and lamps use traditional lighting technologies such as fluorescent lamps and fluorescent lamps. Because of the government subsidy factor, many energy-saving lamps issued by the community are also very popular. Many citizens mistakenly think that it is LED. In fact, it is just an ordinary energy-saving lamp, not an LED lamp using semiconductor lighting technology. However, due to high prices and no uniform standards, the LED market has formed a melee situation, and consumers are in the fog.

According to industry insiders, although the country vigorously advocates energy-saving emission reduction and low-carbon economy, Jiangxi Province also listed semiconductor lighting as one of the top ten strategic emerging industries this year. However, there is no national standard for LED lighting technology in China. Industry standards, Jiangxi Province also has no local standards, which makes the LEDs of various brands on the market lack persuasiveness to consumers.

In addition, the high price of LED lights also makes the market share quite limited. The author visited in the market and found that most of the LED lights are more than 10 times the price of ordinary fluorescent lamps. But in fact, LED lights not only have an aesthetic effect, but more importantly, they have a long life and are extremely energy efficient.

According to industry analysts, the life of an LED fluorescent lamp can reach 50,000 hours, while the life of a fluorescent lamp is usually only 3,000 hours (some domestic fluorescent lamps have a lifetime of only 300 hours). In general, the same power lamp, LED lamp is more than 10 times the life of ordinary fluorescent lamps, saving more than 50%. The study found that the electricity cost of LED lights during use far exceeds the cost of purchasing it.

According to an expert who participated in the development of LED lighting standards in Jiangxi Province, at present, LED light efficiency has been higher than traditional lighting and display light sources, showing superior energy-saving effects, such as energy-saving effects in special lighting fields such as traffic signals and landscape lighting. A 15 watt fluorescent lamp has a life span of 6000 to 8000 hours. The efficiency has reached 50lm/W, and the total power consumption is only 327 degrees. Under the current LED technology, the 8-watt LED lamp can last for 30,000 hours, the luminous efficiency is 75lm/W, and the total power consumption is only 240 degrees. In fact, this emerging industry, Nanchang City has long been in the forefront of the market. According to the author's understanding, Nanchang became one of the first four semiconductor lighting engineering industrialization bases in China as early as 2004. Government support is important, and market selling is the key. According to industry insiders, the high price plaguing the LED lighting market is expected to gradually decrease as competition is fierce and technology is updated. It is imperative to formulate uniform standards as soon as possible. The author was informed on the 17th that the current LED local standards in Jiangxi Province are in the process of being elaborated and will be released soon.

It is understood that in order to promote the healthy development of the emerging industry and regulate the market, the Nanchang Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau has proposed the work requirements for the development of LED lighting sources "LED fluorescent lamps" and "LED bulbs" in Jiangxi Province, which are currently being formulated.

These two standards will mainly cover important indicators such as electrical safety, photoelectric performance, reliability, and energy conservation evaluation. They can comprehensively evaluate the energy saving effect, longevity, luminous efficiency, and environmental protection index of LED lighting products.

It is reported that the Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision has organized relevant experts to review these two local standards, and has been unanimously approved by relevant experts, and has now entered the approval process. According to industry insiders, the local standards of Jiangxi Province were introduced before the national standards, which not only facilitated the rapid development of the LED industry in Jiangxi Province, but also significantly promoted the LED lighting market in the province.
