Huang Yumin: (hereinafter referred to as Huang) This building uses the expression of floodlights. The power of this floodlight is very high and it performs very well. What it wants to show is: make the building look calm. We saw that the East Tower of Tianhe City had a feeling of stability and solemnity. It is expressed in the form of a generalized flood. The whole benefit of it is that there are no obvious dark areas. The top is filled with some light. Filling the light here, in addition to the majesty below, can create a bright spot at a height to attract the attention of the distant focus. I think this method of performance is very good. This building can also have other methods of expression, LEDs, etc., but this method of expression can better represent the stability of the building.

Aladdin Reporter: (hereinafter referred to as the reporter) How many power floodlights does the Tianhe City East Tower need to achieve this effect?

Huang: It is estimated that 2000 watts of lamps are needed to achieve such an effect.

Reporter: What effect does it have on the top of Tianhe City?

Huang: According to this building, it is still possible to use fiber hooks, but the installation is troublesome.

Huang: CITIC Plaza is an iconic building in Guangzhou. It is very elegant and gives a feeling of temperament. The main building is very elegant in the middle, did not deliberately brighten it. The top profile is more elegant, probably using fiber optics to give a looming feeling, not as hard as using LEDs or cold cathode tubes. I think this is handled very well and is considered very carefully. In order to avoid monotony, the deputy building used LEDs, so that this area will not grab people's attention. There are also some floodlights on the bottom. I appreciate its outline, it is faint. It's hard to handle this effect with LEDs, so it uses fiber optics, and I think he handles it very well. Because the fiber is actually weak, it can make a looming effect. I think it is very interesting. The fiber looming outlines are not as hard as LEDs, and several pillars on the top floor are particularly bright. These two columns are handled very well. The column may be a spotlight with a narrow beam of 2000 watts. The use of LEDs for the top pillars has no transitional feel, so the pillars have no upward feel and the projection distance of the LEDs is very short. Overall, I think both of these projects are good and they all show the beauty of the building. Also told the attributes of people's buildings. CITIC gives the impression of a giant, and the deputy building also works well.

Reporter: What do you think of the status of CITIC's lighting in large-scale landmark buildings in China?

Huang: We may not be the same as evaluating a project. It is necessary to evaluate the good or bad of its use of light according to the project itself or for this building. However, if there is influence, it may have a certain relationship with the main body of the building, and there may be different comments or evaluations. When we comment on the artistic effect of this building, we must combine the artistic features of the building itself. To do project design, you usually understand the building, feel the connotation of the building, and we only do the design in order to match the connotation.

Reporter: How does CITIC Plaza compare Shanghai's Oriental Pearl?

Huang: CITIC Plaza is a representative building in Guangzhou, and the Oriental Pearl is a representative building in China. The Oriental Pearl has a certain status and its influence is very high. In terms of lighting contrast, since the Oriental Pearl is a TV tower and the TV tower is a steel bracket structure, it is different from other buildings. If the Oriental Pearl uses the floodlight method, it may not be possible to use a lot of light sources to make it bright. But with LEDs, you can make a lot of pattern changes. According to its architectural structure, the Oriental Pearl is a very good project. CITIC Plaza is not like this, it has to show temperament. Just like a giant, sit on the central axis of Guangzhou. The concept of the two is different. The Oriental Pearl is the symbol of Shanghai. The CITIC Plaza is the landmark building in Guangzhou. The two are different. The former is a bright spot and the latter is a temperament. I think both are very good.
