I didn't really pay much attention to it, but somehow I was rated as an excellent member. I'm really grateful to all the friends on the forum. I'm pretty lazy and not very fast with typing, so I often don’t post much or respond to comments. But today, I decided to share something that many people are interested in—replacing a lamp bead. I’ll try to explain my experience step by step. The repair process wasn’t too complicated. I just removed the screen directly. Inside, there were three light bars connected in parallel. I used a self-made lamp bead to test each one. One was bright, another had no light (which meant it was broken), and the third was dim (burned out). Using a multimeter on the 10K setting, I found one breakdown and two open circuits. Each light bar had one faulty lamp bead. I had a 1W 3528 lamp bead from Taobao that looked similar, so I decided to replace them. I tested the temperature of the new beads and noticed they got warm but not hot. Compared to a heat gun, this method was way better. I cleaned the solder points, tinned them slightly, and used some soldering flux. Then I used a hot air pen to heat the bottom of the lamp bead. Since the temperature couldn’t be adjusted, I had to be careful not to overheat it. Once the solder melted, I gently pulled the old bead out and replaced it with the new one. I repeated this for all three beads. After reassembling, I tested the lighting again. All three light bars worked perfectly. The screen was installed back, connected to the signal, and everything worked smoothly. The color temperature was a bit warmer than the original, and there was no pure white like before—this is just how it turned out. The drive board's standard current is 840mA, but when I measured it, it was actually around 900mA. Each light bar draws about 300mA, and the new lamp beads have a rating of 400mA, which makes them suitable for use. I’ve been monitoring it for a while, and everything still works fine. The repair was successful, and I’m happy with the result.
