Oculus adds "Quill" to VR drawing

Goro Fujita, the artistic director of Oculus Story Studio, recently demonstrated an unreleased build of the VR drawing application Quill, which provides experimental animation capabilities. Quill was released earlier this year and allows users to create static 3D works in VR. With the latest animation tools, Fujita shows us the new features of this application. Oculus Story Studio is Oculus's VR film and television division. Its development of "Quill" was originally only used as an in-house creative tool for VR film "Dear Angelica". This work of immersing the audience in a hand-painted world is indeed animated. After the Touch VR controller was officially launched, "Quill" was launched in beta, but it did not include animation. Goro Fujita, artistic director of Oculus Story Studios, has created stunning static works with VR art tools such as Quill and Medium, and now he shows us the latest animation features of Quill. In a video released a few days ago, Fujita presented an artwork called "A Moment in Time." He used this unreleased version to create an animated scene, as shown in the video. As you can see in the follow-up video, Fujita walks in the scene and explains various elements to us. It's not yet clear if Oculus will launch this animation tool in the next version of Quill, but Fujita's video gives us a glimpse of the final version of the app. Xiao Bian has already contacted Oculus on this issue and will inform everyone in the first time when there is news.
