Among them, the first UHV AC project—the Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC pilot demonstration project has been put into operation for more than four years, and it has achieved high-power water, electricity, and fire between the two major power grids in Central China and North China, and has endured The test of various meteorological conditions such as freezing, lightning strikes, heavy rain, high winds, and high temperatures is the world’s strongest transmission power transmission project.

The second UHV AC project in China - the transmission of Pudong to Huainan - North Zhejiang - Shanghai, is in an orderly and orderly manner. This project is the first double-circuit UHV AC transmission project on the same tower in China. The total length of the line is 656 kilometers. All lines are erected on the same tower with double circuits. All of them are steel towers. The project was approved by the state in September 2011 and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in October 2013. At present, the main construction and framework of civil engineering substations have been completed. The installation of electrical equipment has been fully started; the foundation of the line engineering has been completed, and more than 70% of the towers have been completed, and construction of wiring lines has started.

Compared with the Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC project, Zhejiang Ford High-voltage and Sui-Hui East Power Transmission Projects broke the inter-provincial barriers within the East China Power Grid and achieved complementary advantages. Shanghai and Zhejiang will form an UHV AC/DC hybrid grid

Recently, relevant persons from the Zhejiang Electric Power Company told reporters: “The same construction of the Gansu Electric Power Transmission Project started at the Huainan substation and ended at the Huxi Substation, and the substations at the Minnan Substation and the Zhebei Substation had halfway points. The Zhejiang Ford started this time. High-voltage will build new substations in Zhejiang, Zhejiang, and Fuzhou to expand the Zhebei substation. In other words, the Suidong project and the Zhejiang Ford high-voltage project will all pass through the Zhebei substation. In the future, Zhejiang will form a UHV AC/DC hybrid grid.”

At the same time, the Xiangjiaba-Shanghai ±800 kV UHV DC transmission demonstration project, which was put into operation in July 2010, began at the Fulong Converter Station in Yibin, Sichuan, and ended at Fengxian Converter Station in Shanghai. Therefore, Shanghai will also form a UHV AC/DC hybrid grid as the Suidong project will start production in October this year.

It is understood that in 2013, the U.S. investment in UHV doubled to 52 billion yuan in 2012. It plans to approve and start the construction of 7 UHV lines with “four crossings and three straights”, including Huainan-Nanjing-Shanghai and Zhejiang-Fuzhou. , Ya'an - Wuhan, Mengxi - Changsha UHV AC project, and Ningdong - Zhejiang, Ximeng - Taizhou, Mengxi - Hubei UHV DC project.
