Marvell launches residential smart light bulb wireless platform

Recently, Marvell announced that its residential smart light bulb wireless platform is now available. This platform provides manufacturers with cost-effective, open end-to-end solutions for developing energy-star power-consumption requirements. Intelligent lighting system. The new Marvell residential smart light bulb platform embeds the new Marvell® 88EM8511 low-power AC/DC controller and wireless microcontroller in smart LED bulbs to form a high-end integrated system-on-chip (SoC) environment. Compared to typical wirelessly connected light bulbs, the number of integrated circuits (ICs) is reduced by 50%. The first product based on this open platform is the Leedarson Smart Light Bulb connected to the Zonoff Home Gateway.

Marvell's platform includes a simple, low-cost ZigBee® remote control or a dedicated Wi-Fi to ZigBee lighting bridge device based on the Marvell MC200+8782 Wi-Fi microcontroller module. The platform fully supports the extensive ZigBee protocol and supports mobile devices to access via Wi-Fi. In addition, Marvell's open architecture enables smart light bulbs to establish connections with multi-service home gateways provided by large retailers and service providers, and smart light bulbs with built-in Wi-Fi functionality can be directly connected to wireless routers.
