Toshiba plans to sell 2 million LCD TVs in China in 2011
Recently, Toshiba announced a new plan for LCD TV sales in the Chinese market in 2011. It is estimated that the sales target of LCD LCD TVs in China in 2011 will be 2 million units, which is four times that of 2010.
Toshiba will launch 9 series of 24 products in the Chinese market in 2011, including 10 LCD TVs and 14 LED LCD TVs. One of them is a flagship model that supports 3D video playback and has 2D-3D conversion function in late December. It will be listed in China, and this is the first time the product has been released in markets outside Japan.
In July 2010, Toshiba and TCL Group jointly established an LCD TV sales company in Huizhou, Guangdong. In addition to its production in a wholly-owned factory in Dalian, the future Toshiba TV will also be commissioned by TCL for production.
Twelve layers is close to the largest number of layers that usually can be conveniently fabricated in a 1.6mm thick board. But we see more an more 14 to 16 layer boards fabricated as a 1.6mm thick board as well, but the numbers of fabricators capable of producing them are limited to those that can produce HDI boards. And those who can produce HDI boards are increasing.
