Product Introduction
]
This device is used to test the bearing ratio of different soil and pavement base materials after they are manufactured in a specified test tube. The maximum particle size of the mixture should be controlled within 25mm, but not exceed 40mm. It is one of the essential tools in geotechnical testing.

Instructions
1. Turn on the power switch and check the instrument's condition. Ensure the handle moves smoothly and the rotation is normal. If everything is working correctly, you can proceed with the test.
2. Follow the "Testing Regulations for Base Course Materials for Highway Pavement" (JTJ075-85) to prepare the test sample using the bearing ratio test method.
3. Measure the amount of saturated water:
A. Place the moisture-prevented test piece on the perforated plate with an adjustment rod, and add enough load plates so that the pressure on the test piece surface equals the pressure from the material layer on the road surface.
B. Place the test tube along with the perforated plate into the water tank (without draining), tighten the mold with a tie rod, install the dial indicator, and take the initial reading.
C. Fill the water tank with water to allow free access to the top of the test piece. Keep the water level above the top of the test piece during the saturation period. Usually, the test piece should be soaked for 96 hours.
D. After the soaking time, read the dial gauge reading and calculate the expansion amount.
AV = Change in height of the test piece after soaking / Original height of the test piece (120mm) × 100%
E. Remove the sample from the water tank, drain the water from the sample, and let it stand for 15 minutes. Then remove additional loads, perforated plates, bottom plates, and filter paper, and calculate the change in depth and density of the test piece.
4. Penetration test:
A. Place the test piece on the tester’s lifting plate, adjust the penetration rod to be centered with the force measuring ring, and place a predetermined number of load plates around the penetration rod.
B. Apply a 45N load to the penetration rod using the handwheel, then adjust the force ring and set the dial indicator to zero.
C. Gradually increase the load and record the readings of the force dial at intervals such as 20, 40, etc., corresponding to the penetration amount. Pay attention to the penetration at 2.5mm, where you should take 8 readings for each of the above values. The total penetration is calculated at 2.5mm and 50mm to determine the bearing ratio.
Bearing ratio C = Unit pressure / 7 or 10.5 × 100%
