The potential of the Indian flat-panel TV market is huge

Statistics show that in 2009, India’s TV market capacity reached 13.8 million units, ahead of Brazil and Japan, and it was the third largest TV market in the world, accounting for 37% of the Asia Pacific TV market.

At present, the type of television consumption in India is transitioning from CRT TVs to flat-panel TVs. According to DisplaySearch, after 2011, the growth potential of the flat-panel TV market in India is huge. As in countries such as Japan, North America, and Europe, the market will be fully converted to flat-panel TVs by the end of 2011 or the first half of 2012.

It is understood that Samsung, LG and Sony's three brands of flat-panel TVs have a market share of over 70% in India.
