Samsung exhibits new technology for OLED double-sided display

A few days ago, at the "FPD International 2009" held in Yokohama, Japan, South Korea's Samsung Electronics showed a transparent O LED screen that can display both sides.

This O LED display has a diagonal length of 2 inches, a resolution of 220×176, supports 16.7 million colors, a front brightness of 300 cd/m2, a backside brightness of 100 cd/m2, and a back light transmission rate of 30%. Color images can be seen from the front or back. At the time of the show, Samsung placed a mirror on the back of the O LED screen, and people could see that the mirror reflected a slightly blurred color. Although it still can't make the screen clear and vivid on both sides of the screen, Samsung is undoubtedly one step ahead in double-sided transparent OLED display technology.
