On November 6th, the Shanghai LED Semiconductor Lighting Innovation and Application Forum jointly organized by the Municipal Economic and Information Committee and Putuo District officially opened the LED semiconductor lighting public service network for the public. Hao Luoxi, chief designer of the Shanghai World Expo and professor of Tongji University, revealed that the Expo will use LED light sources in landscape lighting and night lighting. The power consumption is only 1/10 of the current, and fully reflects the charm of lighting technology and art.

The night lighting design will form three main axes: one is the natural landscape of Huangpu River, the two sides of the landscape are reflected by the river to form a beautiful landscape; the second is the string of Pudong and Puxi's Expo Axis and the pontoon bridge; the third is the main pavilion across Pudong. Area, an elevated walkway connecting several main entrances and exits.

There are two important industrial building relics in the Expo Park. On the Harmony Tower transformed by the Nanshi Power Plant, a circle of LEDs will be used around the four ribbon-like double-track spirals. The public service network that has been opened will also introduce the public to the application of LED light source at the World Expo.
