Leakage protector installation method


Depending on the grounding system of the power supply system, the method of installing and installing the leakage protector is different. Generally, the grounding systems for low-voltage power supply systems are: TN-C, TN-S, TT, TN-CS, and IT. Among them, the IT grounding system power supply system generally does not allow the installation of a leakage protector, but an insulation monitoring device.

The TT and TN-S grounding system power supply system can directly install the leakage protector. The TN-C grounding system power supply system needs to be partially modified into the TT system or the whole system is modified into the TN-CS system and the leakage protector is installed in the TN-S part. Therefore, before installing the leakage protector, first understand the grounding system used in the local power supply system.
When installing the leakage protector, the phase line (L) and the neutral line (N) should all pass through the core of the zero-sequence current transformer, and separate the phase line (L), neutral line (N) terminal block, power supply terminal and load terminal, and correctly wire. . The protective wire (PE protection neutral) must never pass through the core and should be connected to the metal housing of the device.
The neutral line of the leakage protector (N working neutral line) cannot share an N-line with the line of the unprotected line protector or the center line of the electrical equipment, nor can it be connected to the protective line (PE protection neutral line) and the protective line. The outer casings are connected. If the power supply system is TN-C grounding system, the protection line (PE protection neutral line) of the equipment must be connected to the PEN on the power supply side of the leakage protector, so that the grounding system of the power supply system is changed to TN-CS.
The TN-S part can be installed with a leakage protector, as shown in Figure 1, or a resistor on the TN-C protection line (PE) and connected directly to the ground via the resistor, as shown in Figure 2, to make it change Partially the TT grounding system power supply system.
Installing the earth leakage protector does not remove the original protective earth. After installing the leakage protector in the TN grounding power supply system, the repeated grounding must be connected to the power supply side and not to the load side. The TT grounded system power supply system should not be grounded repeatedly.
The leakage protector should not be installed in places with humidity, vibration, high temperature and corrosive gas. The outdoor installation should be equipped with rain and snow. The leakage protector has an action dead zone and malfunction. Selecting the installation position minimizes the dead zone and avoids the number of malfunctions.
