On July 24 last year, Wang Yu, deputy dean of the Optoelectronics Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Jia Zhongda, the chairman of Beijing Zhongshi Zhongke Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., were invited to Nanjing to conduct an in-depth study on the laser display project. On July 26, Zhongshi Zhongke signed a framework agreement with the city to establish a laser display industrialization base in Nanjing, and immediately established a working group jointly attended by both parties.
Since then, the project has been successfully promoted only half a year later. On the morning of January 22 this year, Qixia Economic Development Zone held a signing ceremony for the Nanjing Laser Display Industry Base project with Zhongshi Zhongke. On February 15, the project officially started.
The settlement process of this project was called Nanjing speed by Zhu Shanzhen, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee. Nanjing speed comes from Nanjing people's keen insight into the transformation of the display industry
So far, display technology has experienced three eras of black and white, color, and digital display. In these times, traditional display terminals can only cover 30% of the color space that the human eye can recognize, and 70% of the colors cannot be perceived by people. Its color gamut coverage is as high as 90%, and color saturation is more than 100 times that of traditional display. According to foreign reports, in the third quarter of last year, the laser TVs produced by Mitsubishi Electric Co., Ltd. have been put on the market in the US. The laser display products of Sony, Hitachi, Toshiba, Panasonic, Samsung, ILJIN, and Symbol of the United Kingdom are all under study.
