US recalls batteries for bicycles for Chinese and American bicycles (photo)

On November 18, 2008, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and AA Portable Power Corp jointly announced a voluntary recall of DiNotte Lighting lithium-ion batteries for bicycles for Chinese and American bicycles.

The recalled DiNotte Lighting lithium-ion battery is equipped with a nylon bag for the DiNotte 5W bicycle light and the DiNotte 3 LED warning light. The trademark DiNotte is marked on the battery cable connector. The battery was sold throughout the United States from February 2006 to March 2007, and the unit price was 200-400 US dollars/block.

The number of recalled goods was about 1,700. The reason for the recall is that the internal wiring connection of the battery is loose and it is not easy to dissipate heat. If the battery is overheated, there is a danger of burning the user. Currently, AA Portable Power Company has not received any incident reports.

To this end, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends that consumers immediately stop using the recalled battery and contact AA Portable Power Company for free replacement of other batteries.
