According to the Huizhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Huizhou's export lighting is mainly based on assembled traditional lighting, and exported to more than 60 countries and regions in Europe, America and Asia. At present, Huizhou export lighting companies face three difficulties: First, foreign customers have increased product quality requirements. Foreign consumers are increasingly demanding the appearance and quality of their products. They are more strict in quality control than in China. Especially when it comes to issues such as environmental protection and personal safety, they pay more attention to it. Second, the profit shrinkage is serious. Affected by rising raw material prices and exchange rates, lighting costs have increased, but export prices have been difficult to increase, and there has been a phenomenon of zero or negative profits for companies, which has caused some companies to abandon their original orders. Third, the number of customer orders has dropped significantly. Due to the outbreak of the US subprime mortgage crisis, the economies of countries such as Europe and the United States have been seriously affected. Some importers have reduced imports and even no longer imported lighting products.
According to statistics, at present, 10% of lighting manufacturers in Huizhou are in a semi-discontinued state. Two years ago, there were only a few dozen or even dozens of employees who were still working overtime, and many production lines and experimental instruments were shelved.
The reporter learned that most small and medium-sized lighting manufacturers in Huizhou are actively seeking ways to solve problems. Including the development of new products to enhance product competitiveness, take effective measures to reduce costs and change marketing strategies.
