About flexographic printing

Gravure: A type of gravure printing that uses solvent-evaporating inks for excellent blending and shade. The freedom of ink selection is large. It has the characteristics of good printing effect and large freedom of choice of ink.


Flexographic printing: A type of letterpress printing in which a rubber or a photosensitive resin is used. The printing pressure is small; the fluidity of the ink is good; the solvent drying is slightly slow, and the oil black of the volatile solvent is used. It has the feature of being able to perform homogeneous film-forming printing on a thin printed matter, but the fine characters are easily damaged.


Offset printing: used for paper printing, especially for printing on various platen papers. Since printing is carried out between ink rolls, the ink needs to have fluidity and mobility; the solvent used is slightly slower to penetrate the tape; special inks (heat-resistant inks, UV inks) can be used for printing. Most of the offset printing is sheet-type printing, which is suitable for the characteristics of simple plate making and small batch production.


Screen printing: Solvent evaporation type ink (same as gravure, flexographic printing). Depending on the drying method of the ink, it can be divided into evaporative drying type (evaporation of solvent), impregnated drying type (for paper), oxidative polycondensation type (natural drying after oxidative polycondensation reaction with oxygen in air), reaction polymerization type (mixing) Two types of resin printing, inks that undergo a hardening reaction). The on-line processing technology of printing → platen paper is more advanced (saving labor, low cost), using light-weight pigments, will not damage the mesh of mesh.
