Sony launches HT-ST7 strip audio for $1,299

With the rise of the market, more and more manufacturers have begun to turn into the ranks of manufacturing strip sound, such as Vizio, LG and Sonos. The sales of strip audio also greatly surpass the traditional "single-machine home theater system" ( Home Theater in a Box). Now, Sony is also in the industry, but the company's strategy is somewhat different, because it directly kills the low-priced market. In addition to delivering a happy look to the consumer and Top quality, the $1,299 HT-ST7 will also balance music playback and immersive movie experiences.

For the former, Sony introduced NFC that makes Android device pairing effortless (the operation of iOS users is not too complicated, but Bluetooth is still necessary in the menu setting).

Inside the aluminum case of the HT-ST7, 9 speaker units and 7 discrete amplifiers are placed.

The speaker supports a full range of Dolby and DTS audio codecs, and Sony also invited Paul Ottoson, a sound engineer involved in the production of Assassin Osama bin Laden and Spiderman 2 to help with the output of the tuning voice.

Sony said it offers unparalleled hardware, and "each electromechanical component" has been carefully selected and tested by product engineers.

Even so, this product is just a strip of sound. But Sony also equipped it with a wireless subwoofer to enhance the low frequency effect.

If you want the $1,299 home theater component to provide auditory enjoyment, the HT-ST7 demo we felt at Sony's New York headquarters is really impressive. Of course, we are listening under the ideal conditions of strict control.

Like all strip sounds, it doesn't replace the real 5.1 or 7.1 system -- especially when it comes to surround sound -- but the HT-ST7 stands out in this category.
